FILIPINO CULTURAL FESTIVAL HOLDS AT THE GENERAL GORDON SQUARE by Benson Agoha

Saturday, May 26, 2012: The General Gordon Square was the venue of the May Festival of the Philipino Community in the South Eastern part of London. It was very well attended and different traditional meals were available. The weather was even in a festive mood with a generous sunshine throughout.
* The Flores De Mayo 2012: The Greenwich Philipino Community Celebrating their Annual May Festival at the General Gordon Square in Woolwich Arsenal
* The Procession began at the General Gordon Square, towards to the St Peters Churchm, along Woolwich New Road
* The Procession making its way through Powis Street, before going to St. Peters Church.
* This lady, attired complete in a dress made from palm fronds was another attraction all by herself. I couldn't help taking a close shot.
* The Procession at Powis Street
* Just before the procesion began
* The sun was blazing and the sun shades were spectators' best friends at the event.
* Even traditionally dressed men took part in the match which visited the St. Peters Church.
