* MFM MINISTRIES, INTERNATIONAL.
THE SIXTH ANNUAL Regional MFM `Praise Night', held on Friday 7th, 2012 was spectacular and thrilling. It was perhaps the best since the annual event started six years ago. But this was probably not surprising for those who attended the last Power Must Change Hands.
During that event, watched around the world via podcast, the MFM Headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria highlighted their love for music - just like King David loved it. All manner of musical instruments were on display - Harps, Lutes, Saxophones, Pianos and many others, and were used simultaneously by an enlarged musical choire, entertaining the rest of the world in style.
The night was packed with musical concerts from different sources including branches from MFM Thamesmead (hosts); MFM Edmonton; MFM Ilderton, who also presented their French Choir during the night; MFM Erith - the newest branch addition to the family; MFM Thamesmead Youth Choir - as Special Guests, MFM Dagenham; MFM Kent; Redeem Christian Church Of Christ, Nathan Way - whose performance was outstanding; Dayo Bello and his Group as Special Guest Artist and Saxophonist and entertainer, El Gee, whose performance galvanized the audience into another dancing frenzy.
* Making A Bold Musical Statement: Saxophonist, Bro. Olusola Awodipe who came from Headquarters, Lagos, Nigeria.
* Good Worship and Praise Songs leads. The saxophonist was on a roll long before the famous El Gee came on stage.
* Even the Master of Ceremonies (pictured far right) couldn't quite interrupt the artists, whose stamina was quite high on a night worshippers could actually feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.
But if El Gee was captivating, Dayo Bello was another class act entirely. This year's event lived up to its billing and, no-doubt, actually surpassed expectation by leaving a strong, positive mark on attendees. Yours truly even swayed and gyrated to the rythm of the beats - and spiritedly belted out the songs - I had to let go, and I did.
According to one source, in his six years of attending the Annual Praise Nights, this year's event has become the most memorable - and has set a standard below which next year's should not perform.
* Though scheduled to close at 05.05am, the event lasted until 6.00am when the curtain was finally pulled by the Host Pastor, Pastor Akinola Olukoya.
