A thief was covered in ultra violet lights sprayed on him as he stole from a parked car, unaware of the presence of the substance, already inside the vehicle when he struck.
The middle aged man, exposed by the Metropolitan Police on the "Brent News" section of their website, was shown, with his head and body covered in the security substance, turning his otherwise dark hairs, into light green.
According to the police account, the culprit, unaware that the car was set up, into the vehicle and stole from it. In the process, he activated the security liquid.
The car then remotely alerted the owners, who checked and confirmed it had been broken into.
When charged initially in July, the suspected pleaded not guilty - unaware of the evidence waiting to disprove his claim.
He was however convicted at "Brent Magistrates' Court on 29 September" and was found guilty of theft from motor vehicle.
The Metropolitance ended the report with a message from Brent Police as follow: "Brent Police say very clearly to any would be thieves - Don't come to Brent - our trap cars and trap houses are waiting for you."
