BAD DAY FOR TEENAGE TESCO WOOLWICH SHOP-LIFTER by Benson Agoha

* Tesco Extra, Woolwich.

Wednesday started badly for a teenage Woolwich shoplifter who tried it very early at the Tesco Extra stores.

The incidence occured at about 8.00am when the lad, thought to be around 14 or 15 years old, entered the 24hr store at Love Lane, Woolwich Central, and starting nicking.

He was spotted on the camera by a staff who passed on the information to the shop security. The teenager was stopped as he tried to exit the store with his loot and police was called in.

The advance Police car enterviewed him and called in another Van, that arrived to collect him.

When Woolwich Online arrived at the store following a tip off, the kid, neatly dressed in blue jeans jacket and baseball hat, was beeing led down the escalator in handcuffs.

Tesco security confirmed to us that he was nicked for shoplifting.

The securityman told Woolwich Online "Tesco Extra is a 24hr store and these kids don't care, they do it whenever they feel like it."

The Police Van drove off with him at about 8.48am.
