UPDATE FROM WOOLWICH ONLINE....
Well, hello there and welcome to Woolwich Online!
Thank you all for your feedback on our Greenwich Foodbank Report. Please donate to help their operations.
Did you manage to hand-out with Alan Adler on Google+? I hope you did and that you can find the time to let us know how hanging out with the transformational leader and change agent went.
As you would have noticed from my latest post `DO YOU WAIT TO BE NOTICED?', I discussed the importance of leaving, and doing business, in the phyiscal. And why you must not wait to be noticed when, in actual fact you need the help of others, in an interdependent world.
Marketers make a difference between `passive other takers' and `active order getters', even though both have their uses.
But proactive leaders, and indeed achievers, will go out to `catch the fish' of their choice, rather than wait and have any fish caught and thrown at them. People are sometimes incredibly selfish, and someone might even throw rotten fish at you, only to justify it with `that's all I have'.
`Approach to others' in business, like most other structured aspects of our physical environment, has acceptable norms. Problems arise when we selfishly force changes to these norms - or introduce extraneous elements into the flow. Often times, we disrupt it. So when people say join the flow, you realise that the flow is already unjoinable.
In what way are you responsible for the disruptions your business or personal life now faces? This is where self-evaluation comes in handy.
I have since found that excessive application of spirituality into a structured physical environment, like the business environment, creates disruptions for the flow.
So I blended the two together in that post, now on the Leadership Lane Podium. Simply click on the icon.
And RD Kosor is back with a new post on `Developing Emotional Intelligence In Corporate Leaders'. It is a must read and will be available on Friday. Keep a date with her.
Also, with the latest plane crash in Nigeria, Martin Udogie is back. With a post on `How Korea Put A Stop To Their PLane Crashes…' Martin concludes that "..sometimes, all it takes to solve a huge problem, is common sense..."
And we found this image on a post on LinkedIn. Perfect Demarketing there, wouldn't you say?
