It's the season for giving so don't forget the people of Philippines.

Unilever has stepped up support for World Food Programme's campaign to help storm hit Philippines.

The MNC aims to raise money for food aid to help people displaced when Typhoon Haiyan swept through the city of Tacloban, flattening homes and killing thousands, two weeks ago.

Unilever promises to match any donations received to help the hungry.

The Unilever initiative is also being promoted by the World Food Programme who twitted "Provide food to families in the Philippines. Donate now and Unilever will match your gift."

The world Food Programme said "The Unilever Foundation will match individual donations up to $US 250,000."

Donors from the United Kingdom can give from £30, £65, or £150, and all donations are made online.

So you wish to double your impact in the Philippines, they say "don’t miss this chance".
