The management of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has announced the sacking of Coach Andre Villas-Boas.

It was the second embarrassing loss after they lost 6.0 to Manchester City, during an aware game, last mnth.

The swift move from Spurs Management did not come as a complete surprise to the Manager who told Metrosports that despite the result, he would not be resigning because `I am not a quitter'.

He said during the post-match interview that the loss was the second `expressive scoreline that we've suffered in the season', but said he believed they would bounce back as they did after the loss in Manchester.

Information on the Tottenham Website said "The Club can announce that agreement has been reached with Head Coach, Andre Villas-Boas, for the termination of his services. The decision was by mutual consent and in the interests of all parties."

Tottenham Hotspur FC under Villas-Boas, who was sacked by Chelsea in a similar circumstance, started well at the beginning of the season, and the club enjoyed a good run in December, after the loss to City.

Before the announcement, Tottenham Hotspur regretted that the unbeaten run has come to an abrupt end. The club tweeted "Our unbeaten run in December came to an abrupt halt at the Lane." before sack tweet which followed shortly after.

The Club wished him well for the futre and promised to make further announced in due course.

But Villas-Boas was unfazed as he has already got himself a new job.

In a twitter response to his sacking, the former Manager said "Got my self a new job anyway..."
