Judgement is due tomorrow, Friday 31st January, 2014 on the case of Shrien Dewani whose wife, Anni, then 28 was shot dead during a honeymoon trip to South Africa.
Since the incident Shrien Dewani is being suspected of ordering the killing, after he was put in the frame by the killers, some of whom have since been convicted. Anni Dewani was shot as they travelled in a taxi on the outskirts of Cape Town, on 13 November 2010.
Shrien Dewani is being saught for extradition by the South African authorities and, he has been battling against it on the grounds of mental ill-health.
In 2011, Judge Riddle gave the go-ahead to Dewani's extradition, but reconsidered the decision after the High Court allowed his appeal in March last year.
On October 22 October 2013, he won an another High Court hearing in his legal battle against extradition to South Africa so the Court could consider two other issues relating to:
(a) his status as an accused and
(b) whether it would be 'unjust and oppressive' to extradite him 'regardless of the prognosis' of his mental state.
Three High Court judges, led by the Lord Chief Justice Lord Thomas, ruled then that those two outstanding legal issues must be considered by the court.
Today's confirmation by The Judicial Office seems to suggest that the consideration has now been made.
Confirming tomorrow's date to "Justice4Anni", a facebook page set up in December 2010, to fight for justice over the killing, the Justice Office tweeted "The Court will be handing down its judgment tomorrow (Friday 31 Jan) at 10.15am. We'll tweet a link to it."
