MORE CLOSURE FOR THAMES BARRIER EXPECTED TODAY by Benson Agoha
* Thames Barrier on Saturday.
The Flood Alert will remain in force, event though rainfall has been minimal overnight, say South Eastern Environmental Agency.
The Agency advised residents to `keep flood aware' overnight and revealed a total of 22 Flood Warnings & 86 Flood Alerts were in place across the South East last night.
It was a wet night and more closures of the thames barrier are expected later today, London Port Authority say.
According to the London Port Authority, the Thames Barrier will be closed again between approximately 14.15pm - 18.30pm today.
On November 6, 2013, the thames was tide was also high and led to the Woolwich Pier being almost swallowed up.

But despite the overnight and early morning rain, residents of Woolwich are this morning going about their business as normal on the day that full works is expected to be resuming across the borough.
