STUNNING IMAGES OF FROZEN NIAGARA FALLS AS POLAR VORTEX HITS THE US by Sonny Jones
* Frozen: Niagara Falls.
This is the result of the cold snap that hit parts of the United States of America and Canada.
Popularly called the Polar Vortex, resulted in a blizzard of extreme freezing temperature streaming southwards and enveloping North America this week.
* Simply beautiful.
Reports say some places on earth became colder than Mars and the spectacular image by James Neiss/AP provide rare exquisite views that delights tourists who are able to braze the cold visit the Falls.
This extreme freezing cold snap is not peculiar to the North Pole. In fact, as NASA explained, the "Polar Vortex is a whirling and persistent large area of low pressure, found typically over both north and south poles."
* Another beauty.
Expectedly, the images have become a twitter sensation as all admire the frozen mist from the Falls that beautifully coated the nearby and surrounding landscape.
