Last weekend, Chelsea climbed to the top of the Premier League Table. This was not totally surprising.
It has been building up for sometime, and their recent series of good runs, which saw them beat high performing Manchester City at home, strenghtened their self belief.
Arsène Wenger's Arsenal has dominated the table for a better part of the season, especially since their new arrival Mesut Ozil changed the game.
But a 5-1 white-wash of Arsenal by Liverpool on Saturday, despite the presence of the German, is not giving Wenger much cause for concern.
"I'm confident we'll respond positively" says Wenger. Not everyone is so positive, though.
Mesut Ozil's lacklustre performance on Saturday has become the talk of the media.
Ian Herbert's comment for the independent at Mesut Ozil disappearing act is a sign that Arsene Wenger's title talk doesn't add up for Arsenal, must give Wenger something to think about.
And today Paddy Power has joined the doubters, issuing a public appeal for the public to find the german and bring him back.
Paddy Power posted a Missing Person photo of Ozil, followed by "Has anyone seen this man", they wrote. "Last seen performing effectively near London N7, in early December. If you have any information at al labout his whereabouts, please contact Arsene Wenger, or a member of the Arsenal midfield."
Today Arsenal issued an press statement on their website, putting the next for games in focus as the premier enters a decisive period.
"It is about how well we do at home at the Emirates, of course starting on Wednesday", the statement said as the club prepare for four home games in 11 days against Machester United, liverpool, Bayern Munich and Sunderland.
The Gunners went on an 11-game unbeaten run after a defeat at Manchester City in December and Wenger thinks a similar run will be needed for Arsenal to maintain their title challenge.
"Our performance was poorer on Saturday than at Man City,..But I'm confident we will respond in a positive matter on Wednesday night." Wenger told Arsenal Player.
Acknowledging his teams poor performance on Saturday he said "I think it's a shame that we couldn't turn up with a better performance. After 10 minutes we conceded two goals on set-pieces, that just shows that the level of concentration was not there and that when nobody takes responsibility in these kind of situations it's always a bad sign.
Still very tight at the top three, it just may not be over yet.
