Amidst the recent fallout of the Ukrainian crisis, Russia's Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, has just announced Russia will be ready to discuss with the US and the European Union on Ukraine in ten days time.
The FM, who is holding a press conference about now and is positive Russia will be ready for the negotiation with the USA, EU and Ukraine.
He called on Kiev and Washington not to ignore the interests of all Ukraine regions.
Details will be confirmed by early speculators say the talks might start either on the 18th or the 22nd of April, 2014.
According to Russian median RT, Lavrov wants Southeastern Ukrainian regions should also take part in the negotiations, saying "The Kiev coup-appointed government hasn’t made any positive steps towards these regions,” adding that the regions feel neglected.
Lavrov said “[The southeastern regions] believe that their interest are being ignored by Kiev.”
He accused the Ukrainian leadership and the US of ignoring Russia, saying neither Kiev nor Washington has shown the proposed draft Ukrainian constitution to Moscow, RT said
Lavrov said “external forces” were reponsible for provoking the protests in southeastern Ukraine, but that the US throws the blame onto others.
“I heard the statements by Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, who said that some demonstrations in southern Ukraine are paid for and there are certain ‘external forces” which stand behind these protests. It sounds as if he is five months ago and describing the events in Maidan Square in the center of Kiev,” Lavrov said.
