The London Marathon is due this Sunday, April 13, 2014 and as usual, the speculation machine is in full drive.
* Mo Farah: says he believes he will be victorious.
Double Olympic Champion, Mo Farah is already in town and is one of the celebrities who are looking forward to the event. Will he win? Mo is confident even though he collapsed recently at the New York half-marathon.
He has reportedly told the media 'I wouldn't be here if I didn't believe I could win'. It's good that he believes he can.But the London Marathon is not just about a race to the finished line. It usually provides a beautiful colourful spectacle.
Charities and organisations will be taking advantage of the event to raise funds or promote their brands.
And disruptions usually associated with it include road closures and diversion along the 26.2-mile race routes.
* A usually colourful spectacle.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich will be affected. Some roads in Royal Greenwich will be closed and there will be crossing points.
"There will be road closures across London on Sunday 13 April 2014 for the Virgin Money London Marathon. The route of the Virgin Money London Marathon will be closed to traffic, but there will be crossing points for local residents," says the Greenwich Council.
In a statement, Greenwich Council said the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) trains and stations on the marathon route will be very busy, and Customers travelling between Tower Gateway/Bank and Beckton/Woolwich Arsenal will need to change trains more frequently.
