Lupita Nyongo'o: Lancôme USA Make `12-Years A Slave Star' Brand Ambassador

New Hollywood revelation and Lady of the moment, Lupita Nyongo'o has been appointed a brand ambassador for American brand Lancôme.

The Mexican born Kenyan actress was made the new ambassador for the beauty and perfumes company.

After the announcement, Lancome USA said the move was like "taking the beauty world by storm!"

In a video message released by the company, Lupita said "..I am incredibly excited to let you know that I am the new abassador for Lancome."

Media reports by Essence and Fashionista , Vogue and as well as Nairobi News are excited about the announcement, with Vogue Magazine saying she is the best thing to happen to beauty this year.

In a Twitter message Vogue Magazine wrote "Lupita Nyong'o is the best thing to happen to beauty this year."

The appointment brings her in line with other Lancôme ambassadors such as Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Kate Winslet and Penélope Cruz."

Fashionist said the 31-year-old Nyong’o will star in her own campaign for the Lancôme USA and the capaigns will be shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

Beauty brand Essence congratulated her saying "This is the first major endorsement deal for Lupita, but we’re positive there’s more to come."

A Lancome contact will not as yet reveal the duration or financial worth of the deal but referred us further.
