The next phase of Berkeley Homes Woolwich Development is about to start, as the company readies to start archeological works at a new site besides its current Nouvel 1 project.
In a Public Notice, Berkeley Homes said it plans to fence off part of the Royal Arsenal Gardens, home to the skate park, by early next week.
The planned extension will see the thames river-front host high-rise residential blocks, that may see off the skate park and the Royal Arsenal Gardens - home to some 40 wild plants.
In a statement, the company said works will be commencing in the park area from Tuesday, 27th May, 2014.
From this date therefore, Berkeley said the area will be fenced off and access to the general public no longer available.
The statement said "This is required to facilitate site investigation and Archaeological works prior to construction," adding "Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."
Any enquiries with respect to the above should be directed to Brian Oatley, Berkeley Homes through telephone number 0208-301-8772.
