Update On Shop Closures In And Around Woolwich

The Co-operative Store To Close For Renovation
 

The Co-operative Store in Plumstead Common (The Co-op 196-212 Plumstead Common Rd London SE18) is set to close for renovation `for a few days’ from Saturday 27th September, 2014. The will be closed for 13 days.

A notice outside the store said“We’re closing for A FEW DAYS so that we can transform your store into something new and exciting.”
 
Co-operative Management said the Store will close for renovation from “2pm Saturday 27thSeptember – Thursday, 9th October, 2014.”

Lidl Supermarket
Lidl Supermarket is undergoing in-store renovations that will see the interior totally changed.
The budget was closed to the public for major refurbishment works which will last from 14th of September - 27th of November, 2014. It will be re-opened at 8.00am on Monday, the 27th of November, 2014.
A banner in front of the building reads “The complete our improvement work, this store will be closed from 14th Sept. 4pm to 27th November.”
“Your nearest store is Eyinsham Drive, Abbeywood, SE2”, the banner said.
`FIT SPACE GYM
At the same-time, Lidl’s neghbours`FIT SPACE’, has notified its customers the car park will be closed from 5pm on Saturday.

A Members notice pasted outside the Gym hall said “The Car park will be closed from 5pm!! Saturday 27thSeptember due to the works being carried out on the building, sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
But FITspace Management said the closure would be for two hours.

Sadly, Marks and Spencer Departs Finally
Marks and Spencer is emptying and rolling up carpets, preparatory to their final departure from the Town Center on Saturday, 27th September, 2014.
 
So if you never took advantage of the closing down sales these past months, you have probably missed out.
 
When we called at the store today, only shelves that displayed food and perishable items were stocked.
 
Marks and Spencer had been in Woolwich for the past 100 years.
