President Goodluck Jonathan Thursday formally presented his hand over notes to the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, according to a report by Nigeria Camera which said "The presentation was done inside the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, shortly after Jonathan conducted Buhari round the seat of power."

Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria only yesterday following a visit to Downing Street.

Vice President Namadi Sambo had also similarly conducted the Vice President-elect, Yemi Osinbajo, round his wing of the villa.

Reports said President Jonathan presented an executive summary of his hand over notes and a copy of the report of the National Conference to Buhari in the presence of All Progressives Congress chiefs who accompanied him to the event.

In his remarks, Jonathan said his administration had done its best for the country.

Buhari reported picked his words, saying he needed to study the notes before making a formal statement on them.

However, he reportedly commended President Jonathan for conceding defeat in the March 28 Presidential election, saying he "could have made things difficult if he wanted to do so."

Our enquiries revealed Nigerians are adopting a `wait-and-see' stance as the handover nears.

And queues being formed at filling stations are said to be as a result of petrol scarcity rather than in response to expectations of a return of the War Against Indiscipline for which Buhari's first run as a military Head of State was known.
