Weekend Car Crash in Woolwich

by WO Staff

Woolwich:- A lady was only free from her car after emergency services chopped the roof off following a crash along Plumstead road, Woolwich.

The distraught woman had been taken to the hospital by the time we arrived the scene following a tip-off, but her relative left behind said she would be fine.

The accident occurred after another driver, reportedly, distracted the lady, causing her to crash her car, but for the damage to her own car on the scene, there was nothing else that pointed as a clue.

The driver who caused the accident however did not even bother to get out of his own car, only stopping close enough to ask if she was ok, and then speeding off when the lady refused to talk to him.

The victims relatives said clearly he could see she was not ok, but he drove off any way.

When told not to worry as police would be almost certainly to trace him, they said "he will have a lot to worry if we trace him first".

The accident occurred on Bank holiday Monday.
