This is a story sure to excite as it annoys. Two lesbian lovers got married. Only 28 days ago. And then, one confirms she is pregnant.

Glory Johnson and Britney Griner tied the knuts just 29 days ago.

But a day later, her lover is asking for annulment of the relationship, claiming she was not aware of the details of her spouses pregnancy, while her spouse said the filing feels being "blindsided".

According to TMZ, Glory Johnson says she was "blindsided" by Brittney Griner's decision to file for an annulment today -- telling TMZ Sports she's "extremely hurt" by Brittney's actions.

The two American sportswomen were thought to be in love. But Glory Johnson 24, an American basketball forward that plays for the Tulsa Shock said the filing left her feeling blindsided.

On her part Brittney Yevette Griner, also professional basketball player currently playing as a women's basketball center with the Phoenix Mercury said they discussed annulment.

According to a report on ESPN, Britney Griner said in a statement Friday that: "Last Wednesday, Glory and I agreed to either legally separate, get divorced, or annul our marriage," adding "I can confirm that today I filed for an annulment."

Griner said further that: "In the week prior to the wedding, I attempted to postpone the wedding several times until I completed counseling, but I still went through with it. I now realize that was a mistake."

But Glory Johnson is said to be shocked and is requesting privacy. According to her agent "She loves Brittney and made a huge sacrifice to carry a child, put her career on hold, invest in their relationship and their future."

In a statement, Glory Johnson reportedly said: "It has always been a dream of mine to start a family with someone I love," adding "Being a professional athlete that plays year round, there is never a perfect time to get pregnant without putting my career on hold. The entire process, from learning our fertility options, to making sacrifices necessary nine months before the child is born, is merely preparing me to become a great wife and an even better mother."

The WNBA season opened Friday night and Johnson is set to miss the season due to her pregnancy.
