Nigeria: What the soldier did to the girl child

It is not a sight you are privileged to see often.  And most often than not, the public are faced with photos of soldiers with huge munitions or in active combat, but rarely of their human side.

So it was that this photo of a Nigerian soldier helping a child wear her sandals quickly went viral.

The photo showed the little girl holding unto the bonet of a Mercedez car while waiting for the soldier to finished sorting out her left foot sandal.

The photo was taken either on a road side or a vehicle park in Sokoto, Nigeria. No other background information was provided by the sharer @DimEmekaObasi but the story has been re-tweeted thousands of times already.

No doubt, if soldiers and civilians were enjoyed this kind of rapport, maintenance of law and order, will probably not be so costly.
