Virgin Racing became more colourful when it's fast cars roared through Battersea Park shortly after announcing a new partnership with DS Brand that will see the creation of the DS Virgin Racing team for the next series.
The event at the weekend, brought unique spectacle and fanfare of Formula E to London. And if you are still wondering about what Formula E represents or the difference between Formula E and Formula 1. Well, Formula E is a separate racing competition designed for electric cars. So they are cleaner for the environment.
The Virgin Boss says he predicts it will overtake Formula 1 in the future. Sir Branson said he expects Formula E to do for the electric Car, what Formula 1 once did for the road car.
Hear him: "We believe that Formula E will do for the electric car, what Formula 1 once did for the road car – but this time, make green sexy. My prediction is that Formula E will overtake Formula 1 in years to come."

The event saw popular American musician Will-I-Am try out one of the cars.
The Virgin owner said "I enjoyed visiting the pit with will-i-am to say hello to Virgin Racing drivers Sam Bird and Fabio Leimer, and the team of engineers, who were hard at work assembling the cars in front of our eyes."
He said "Will jumped in the car and tried it on for size – we might just have ourselves a new driver for next year! From the pit we got swept up in the sensational atmosphere of the grid."
DS Motorsport Division and Virgin Racing Engineering will combine their technological expertise, so that they can compete at the highest levels and win future championships.
"The partnership also highlights our ambitions to be at the forefront of pioneering new technology to aid the evolution of everyday electric vehicles." Sir Branson said in a statement.
Virgin Racing Team Principal, Alex Tai said, "Our collaboration with the DS brand is not only a partnership between two amazing brands, but is a great opportunity to showcase our intent of winning FIA Formula E championships." adding "it highlights our ambitions to be at the forefront of pioneering new technology in Formul E to aid the technology transition to road cars".
