Why Texting Queens and Selfie Quinnettes should check those ugly habits

Ok we don't mean to sound so harsh, but walking and texting without really looking at where you are going isn't exactly commendable.

The only that unifies ladies, the world over these days, appears to be `selfieing' and text-chatting, even when they are on the go. But if they are recklessly done, this can be risky, as the young lady above and below in China's Sichuan Province found out.

According to the report published by Nigeria Camera, the slender teenager got stuck when she tripped while texting. And she got her entire leg wedged between a storm drain.

The story said the girl, who has not been named, was focused on her mobile phone walking down the street in Mianyang City, in southwest China’s Sichuan Province.

While she was busy texting a friend, she took her eye off the pavement and when she stepped on a drain, her slim leg went straight through the bars – wedging her left foot tightly.

Although passers-by stopped to help, she was completely stuck until someone called the fire brigade. They eventually freed her after a 45-minute wait.

Fire brigade spokesman Ming Lai said: “We managed to remove the bars and quickly freed her once we arrived at the scene. Her leg was a bit scratched and bruised and numb from being squeezed through the bars, but she quickly recovered and did not need hospital treatment.”

Eyewitness Jun Niu, who posted snaps of the ordeal, said: “She was more embarrassed than anything else, she covered her face up with her hands when people were gathered around and it was clear she didn’t want to be there.
