The Magic Fish can inflate, deflate and even look like beachballs.

This is the `Pufferfish'. A specie that are incredibly poisonous, and in their inflated state, look like spiky beachballs.

What you may not know is that in their deflated-state, they look pretty cool as well: strangely boxy, and not very much like what you think of as a "fish" at all.
* Can be very colourful

It's large family includes many familiar species, variously called pufferfish, puffers, balloonfish, blowfish, bubblefish, globefish, swellfish, toadfish, toadies, honey toads, sugar toads, andsea squab.

Pufferfish are the second-most poisonous vertebrates in the world, after the golden poison frog, but this does not stop the pufferfish from being eaten.

Northern puffer also called sugar toads.
In fact, even though some of its internal organs, such as liver, and sometimes the skin, contain tetrodotoxin and are highly toxic to most animals when eaten, the meat of some species is considered a delicacy in places like Japan where experienced chefs take time to prepare it, removing the poisonous parts.
