Tesco has reduced prices, in the run up to Christmas - and the super grocer is not keeping quiet about it. Instead, they are reaching out to customers to let them know.
One of the products on offer include the Louis Delaunay champagne (above) which normally costs about £14-£15. Today, Wednesday, Tesco sent out word to entice shoppers to stock on the champagne as soon as possible.
In a press release, Wednesday, Tesco informed the public that it has launched its festive campaign of ‘little helps’ for customers by offering an award-winning champagne for just £9 this Christmas.
The Louis Delaunay champagne, which comes from the town of Dizy, in the Champagne region of France, has strong floral aromas and an elegant citrus flavour. It is made from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes., will be available at the new price in all Tesco stores from tomorrow, the statement says.
Earlier this year, the quality bubbly won a silver medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition – an event considered the Oscars for the wine and champagne industry.
Tesco champagne buyer Rob Dixon said: “Christmas is the perfect time to celebrate with friends and family so we’re delighted to be offering customers such good value on this high quality bottle of champagne."
It said “Whether you’re holding a Christmas party with friends or celebrating with family on Christmas morning, this fantastic champagne is the perfect accompaniment and is just one of the many ways we’ll be helping customers enjoy this festive season.”
The Louis Delaunay champagne will be on sale in nearly 1000 Tesco stores, as well as online at Tesco.com for £9 until November 17.
