Night Tube Negotiations Restart Today As Londoners Eagerly Await Arrival Of 24 Hour Tube Service

Representative of Transport for London and RMT Union are in talks today to find solution to the continuing delay in implementing the tube which Mayor of London Boris Johnson promised.

All night tube is expected to contribute to the economic and social development of the capital as more businesses can remain open, allowing nightcrowlers to get back home at any time through the night.

Expected to feature at the talks include safety and pay and as the talks gets underway, RMT General Secretary, Mick Cash (left) said: “RMT is committed to delivering a night tube service that works for Londoners and which properly rewards and respects the staff across the network who will be absolutely key to making it tick. Safety of both staff and passengers has to be right ‎at the core of any agreement."

He said: “Our negotiators have spent hundreds of hours working line by line through the detail in each of the underground functional groups and we will be in talks at ACAS today looking to make significant progress on the outstanding pay and conditions issues that will take us towards a start date.

“The underground is vital to the future of London and with a booming population and soaring passenger demand staffing is critical to the future success and safety of our transport systems."
