Paris Terror Attack Mastermind Was Among The Dead, Say Reports

Earlier reports by the French Prosecutor heading the investigation into Friday's Paris massacre, that he could not identify the two bodies killed in Tuesdays police siege in the Paris suburb of Saint Denis, has taken a dramatic turn.

Today, emerging reports from France has confirmed that Abdelhamid Abaaoud was in fact among the dead.

More than 5000 rounds of ammunition was fired into a run-down flat in Saint Denis, north of Paris, after officer were led to the apartment and were greeted by an explosion that killed a police dog that went in first.

Abdelhamid's causin, later detonated her own device strapped on a suicide vest, killing herself. Seven others were arrested in connection with the assault.

Earlier a Fox News report said the French prosecutor, heading the investigation into Friday's terrorist massacre in Paris indicated that the second body found after this morning's raid on a suspected terrorist hideout cannot yet be identified.

Washington Post however, quoting two senior European intelligence officials said one of the bodies was the mastermind of the attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud.

But French officials have now confirmed that the suspected mastermind of last Friday's terrorist massacre in Paris, that left 129 people dead, was indeed killed in the police raid.

Abdelhamid Abaaoud, 27, was the second person to die in the raid, the French prosecutor's office Thursday. He was identified from skin samples and was said to be planning another attack targeting France's Main airport - the Charles de Gaulle.

The landlord of the flat involved in Saint Denis said he was not aware that the men were terrorists and that they had said they needed the flat to sleep and pray for a few days.

He was later arrested for a separate previous incident in which he was implicated.
