Friday 13th November, 2015 and it is another night for - Royal Greenwich Jazz - Poetry and Jazz Night, with special guest poet Funmi Adewole.
Global Fusion Music and Arts have been running events for Royal Greenwich Jazz since it started in 2009 and this year on Friday November 13th, GFMA have put together an all local show with Blackheath based band, Jazz Sounds, a local 8 piece jazz band with some heavy brass front line: tenor, alto and baritone saxophones and trumpet and a strong rhythm section of, piano, bass, guitar and drums. The music they will be performing will range from Swing to Bebop.
The first half of the evening will bring together poets from the GFMA writers group who meet once a month, one of whom is Robert Famshawe who wrote the play ‘All About The Boys’ for the 2014 GFMA World War 1 project.
