Rail Workers Union Reacts To Signal Failures On The Southeastern Network

Rail Workers Union, RMT reacted to another morning of signal failures and breakdowns across the rail and tube network.

In a statement, the workers union the failures and disruptions to travels have become intolerable that the pressure on the transport services in and out of London was growing by the day and that it was leaving transports services on a knife edge.
 
RMT General Secretary, Mick Cash said in the statement: "The intolerable pressure on transport services in and out of London is growing by the day and the toxic mix of massive overcrowding and infrastructure failures is leaving both rail and tube on a knife edge."

"We have seen that once again this morning with RMT members on the front line dealing with passengers angry at the continuing disruption to their journeys and our engineering members working flat out to get services back up and running."

"RMT repeats the call for renationalisation with the money ripped off by the private rail companies reinvested in capacity, staffing and upgrading works. ‎"
