Free parking in Royal Borough car parks for Christmas shoppers

Christmas shoppers in the Royal Borough of Greenwich can take advantage of free car parking in all Royal Borough car parks, to make the most of any last minute shopping before Christmas.

On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 December all council-run car parks will be free of charge all day to visitors.

Councillor Danny Thorpe, Cabinet Member for Regeneration & Transport, said: “The last weekend before Christmas always sees the traditional rush to buy all those last-minute things we’ve forgotten! But there’s no need to go far and wide to get your Christmas gifts or to snap up a bargain - come to the Royal Borough to take advantage of our free car parking, grab yourself some fantastic presents, and show your support for our outstanding local independent traders.

“We have some fantastic markets offering quirky gifts that you won’t find anywhere else, and all the leading high street retailers right on your doorstep.”
