Major Incident In Woolwich Attracts Long Police Line

A major incident has occurred in Woolwich this afternoon, although Police won't say yet what it is.

Our attention was called to a long police line cordoning off the block of houses next to Heronsgate Primary School, along Plumstead Road, Woolwich.

But when we enquired from two Police officers on site, they declined to comment on the ground it was still under investigation.

Today's `Major Incident' ends a run of quiet few days for the town centre as there has not been a major reports of disturbance for the town centre since Christmas Eve.

However, one male was arrested Tuesday for illegal entry to the UK, while Police had to deal with a violent shoplifter that targeted Lidl Super market.
