Matthew Pennycook, the Labour MP for Greenwich and Woolwich is supporting local business on Small Business Saturday.

In a series of tweets, he has reminded them to shop local online even they are not able to make it to the high street for reasons such as weather.

"Looking forward to supporting some of the many outstanding small businesses in Greenwich and Woolwich today #shoplocal #SmallBizSatUK." He tweeted, adding "If the weather proves a deterrent remember you can also support local small businesses online today #SmallBizSatUK."

The said he hoped that "lots of you" will be at the winter warmer in #Woolwich today for fireworks, lanterns, ice sculpting and music.
