The `Major Incident' reported on this portal on Wednesday was actually a suspicious death in a block for homeless people.
Sgt Matt Burns, the Police Sergeant for the Town Centre told Woolwich Online that `a suspicious death in a store cupboard in the block used by some homeless people` was responsible for the long police line reported yesterday. He said investigations are ongoing.
A Met statement on the death said a murder investigation has been launched in Greenwich following the death of the man.
In another incident at the Town Centre, Police arrested a drunk male for urinating over the Big Screen in General Gordon Square.
He was detained at the Plumstead Station and may be cautioned if he is a first offender.
