Jessup Close, Woolwich Murder - Police Charge And Remand One Male For Court

One male arrested in connection with the Murder in Jessup Close, Woolwich was charged on New Year day.

Sgt Matt Burns, the Town Centre Sgt for Woolwich Arsenal said in an update that the male was remanded and will be attending court on Saturday morning.

The "major incident" happened on Tuesday prompted a long police line that cordoned off the block of houses next to Heronsgate Primary School, along Plumstead Road, Woolwich.

Two men were initially arrested at the scene, after one male was pronounced dead following what a post-motem called `blunt force to the head and tummy.'

Police presence has been maintained at the property since then and on Thursday, our report saw a Detective questioning some residents on the first floor at the property, while another officer stood guard outside.
