UAE Highlights Importance of Happiness As It Appoints First Minister of State for Happiness, Two Other Women Make List

The United Arab Emirates Wednesday highlighted the importance of Happiness as it appointed its first Minister of State for Happines - And she is a woman.

Unveiling a new cabinet list containing 29 nominees Wednesday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, said the 12th UAE Cabinet will achieve the nation’s aspirations.

Three women were chosen to lead the new cabinet posts for happiness, tolerance and youth.

Ohood Al Roumi (top right and below) was named Minister of State for Happiness. She currently holds the position of Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office and will remain responsible for it, according to Sheikh Al Maktoum

Shamma Al mazrouei (below), a young, 22 year old Oxford University master's degree holder was named The first Minister of State for Youth Affairs. She holds and B.Sc. from New York University.

A third woman who made the list was named as Noura Al Kaabi (third, below) who was named Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs.

"We trust she will add great value." said Sheik Al Maktoum.
