On the heal of Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn's speech in favour of Britain remaining in European Union, the Labour Party say, the referendum is there's to win.
Making a strong case for BREIN, former Home Secretary, and former Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer under ED Miliband, Alan Johnson told Party members he supported Corbyn for "speaking powerfully about everything the EU does for us: from jobs to the environment."
He said Labour was the only party that's united behind winning this referendum and called for party members to rally together to ensure they decide the result.
Johnson, who is the Chair of "Labour In for Britain" said "we need to kickstart the campaign with a bang" adding "This is a huge campaign and Labour's in the driving seat."
He urged party members to ensure they make the most of the opportunity to vote to stay in the European Union, saying "We're all part of this referendum — let's make it the best it can possibly be — for us and for Britain's future".
