A gaping hole has been created in music circles after iconic Prince, died Thursday of a suspected heart failure. According to his publicist, he was found slumped in a lift in his home. An autopsy is planned for Friday to determine the course of death.
Prince won Oscar for his hugely popular Purple Rain and wrote several number one hits for other stars including Sinead O'Connor. He was very well loved but described by the media as `diminutive' for his small size.
US President, Barack Obama, who is currently visiting Britain, paid tribute to Prince quoting one of the iconic singers quotes 'A strong spirit transcends rules,' and said nobody's spirit was stronger, bolder, or more creative than that of the star.
Prince played several times in the UK, including a 21 day London residency that included seven shows at the 02 Arena in North Greenwich. One of the high lights was his wish for the late Amy Winehouse to play her track ‘Love Is A Losing Game’.
His last Instagram post was "JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE SAFE..." prompting questions whether his was even of natural courses.
