EU IN OR OUT Referendum Website Crashes Before Deadline Tuesday

by Benson Agoha | Politics

Last minute registrants for June 23rds Euro Referendum were unable to beat the deadline as the website reportedly crashed just hours to the close of registration.

According to a BBC report this morning, the crash occurred at a time when several thousands of would be voters tried to beat the deadline after the debate between Prime Minister David Cameron and UKIP Leader, Nigel Farage.

The crash has led to calls for extension of registration as engineers tried to get the website up and running again.

Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn was on of those who supports the call for extension of the registration deadline so that as many qualified citizens can have their say on this important decision.

Commonwealth Citizens who live in UK are eligible to vote but other EU nationals are not eligible, according to reports.
