COVID-19 - Funeral Held For Londoner Publicly Assaulted By Covid-19 Patient

Funeral has been held for a 47-year old woman who died of the coronavirus on April 5 in London  after she was approached by a male who spat at her and then informed her that he had the coronavirus.

A report in Huffpost UK said the incident, took place on March 21 at the London Victoria Train Station where she worked as a Ticket Officer.  She was not alone at the time, but was with a colleague when the male informed both women he had coronavirus before fleeing the scene.

However, one week after the assault, both of them fell ill and were confirmed infected. On April 2, the Londoner was admitted to a hospital in Barnet, but died three days later, leaving behind an 11 year old daughter and a husband.

A funding  appeal to raise £1000 pounds raised £32,407. Her funeral was held on the 29/04/2020 but her family and friends are now calling for justice.

Her colleague is reportedly still recovering, and Police are investigating the incident which was reported only after seven weeks.
