Iran Has Reportedly Asked Interpol To Help Them Arrest US President Trump For General Soleimani Killing

A report by the Associated Press today say Iran has issued an arrest warrant for US President, Donald Trump over January's assassination of their top commander General Qassem Soleimani in Iraq.  Iran even asked the Interpol to help in effecting the arrest along with several others who assisted with the killing.

General Soleimani, who oversaw the Revolutionary Guard's expeditionary Quds Force, was killed in a drone strike in January near Baghdad International Airport sparking waves of unrest in Iran. The Iran General was not the only one killed in the strike but was the target.

Iran responded with strikes against US Army Base and Embassy in Iraq.

The resulting tension was heightened, in reverse, when a Ukrainian plane was shot down by Iran's forces shortly after take-off, forcing university students to begin protesting against their own country.

AP says it is unlikely, however, that Interpol would grant Iran's request because of official limitations forbidding it from “undertaking any intervention or activities of a political" nature.
