US SEAL Team of Six Rescued American From Nigerian Captors, Killing All In A Flash

A US Citizen was rescued on Saturday night from Nigerian captors after a high risk military operation by US special forces.

According to ABC News, Philip Walton, 27, lived with his wife and young daughter on a farm near Massalata, a small village close to the border with Nigeria.

The Kidnap was confirmed by US and Nigerien sources, with the Nigerien Ministry of Defense telling ABC News that the kidnappers were believed to be an armed group from neighboring Nigeria.

The kidnap was not considered terror-related, although urgent steps had to be taken to avoid him being turned over to terrorist groups, ABC reported on Monday.

Wife of US President, Ivanka Trump twitted about the dramatic rescue by a team of six US Navy SEAL in Nigeria . She said "We will NEVER abandon any American taken hostage! Thank you to all the heroes involved in this mission."

President Trump also confirmed the rescue in a tweet saying that America's "brave warriors rescued an American hostage in Nigeria" adding "Our Nation salutes the courageous soldiers behind the daring nighttime rescue operation and celebrates the safe return of yet another American citizen!"

Philip Walton, was taken captive in Niger on Oct. 26 by a group believed to be Nigerians, but according to the ABC News "..they were all dead before they knew what happened".
