COVID-19 - Maintain High Index Of Suspicion, Says NCDC To Health Workers As New Cases Rise

Nigeria's Centre For Disease, NCDC, released a new confirmed case figure of 1,145 last night, taking the overall total to 76,207.


NCDC said 67,110 patients have been discharged so far, while 1,201 have died.

Lagos topped the list with a 459, followed by the FCT with 145, and Kaduna coming third with 138 new cases.

Akwa-Ibom had 2 while Anambara had 1 to occupy bottom of the list.

NCDC's latest report was released even as speculation of a second lockdown was rife.

In a tweet, the Disease Control Agency said Health workers should be suspicious of people when attending to covid patients.

"Health workers should maintain a high index of suspicion & adhere to universal standard precautions when managing suspected or confirmed cases.."
