WOOLWICH ARSENAL BUBBLES - AS THE BIBLE GETS PATOIS VERSION by Benson Agoha
* The Woolwich Town Hall
I apologise for the interlude during which this blog was not updated, but I am happy to be back. In the coming days, the posts shall be more regular.
Meanwhile Woolwich Arsenal continue to recover from the recession and the High Street is experiencing more visitors.
Pubs and eatery joints are also recording higher sales as consumer confidence improves. The flagship pub "The Great Harry", which is managed by Weatherspoon is a beehive in the evenings. And sometimes, from as early as 7.00am, the restaurant is already booming. `The Great Harry' is a Wetherspoon Freehouse, so feel free and come in for a good meal or a pint or two with friends.
The Woolwich Library, occupying the ground floor of the The Woolwich Centre is another beehive everyday of the week, except on Sundays.
And the Woolwich Central, under construction, is progressing well, with Tesco expected to open in late November 2012, as planned.
The Ferry Service from the City of London, which berths at its Royal Arsenal Jetty is ever regular and the free Woolwich Ferry to Northwoolich is still very much running good service.
There is the DLR which links Woolwich Arsenal with the London City Airport and beyond.
The cross-rail, expected to be completed in 2020 is progressing well.
So if you are thinking of the right place to invest, why not think of Woolwich Arsenal?
HOLY BIBLE: KING JAMES VERSION TRANSLATED INTO PATOIS
And you probably missed it but, our Jamaican Christian friends are now celebrating the formal translation of the Holy Bible into Jamaican patois making easier for speakers to understand. And why not?
This is another giant attempt by missionaries to `preach the gospel’ to the furthermost part of the earth.
Well, your dialect might just be next!
