Snow flakes finally starts in Woolwich Arsenal 9.45am. Way past the 7am time-frame indicated in the papers. An hour of intermittent snowflakes and the surface is managing to turn 'white'.
Snow strolls can be fun, but it is advisable to dress appropriately and cover all necessary areas as should.
Green grasses are now turning white as pavements and cars share the white colour.

Thought, still in its first day, the snow appears much less than reported.
Even so, the transport network suffered a little as there were reduced services resulting in delays, that turned out to be more of a precaution than outright chaos. And flights were affected at the London City Airport in North Woolwich. Heathrow Airport also had flights cancelled as the snow intensified.
Trains ran at half-hourly intervals and the busses were gradually reduced too.
Nevertheless, commuters around Woolwich stayed indoors and ventured out when absolutely necessary.
The Woolwich Library that has always been packed full were half empty as many computers were resting.
Severe Weather Warning is in place and today's forecast will be "mainly cloudy, breezy and cold with further snow flurries.
Largely cloudy and grey with occasional sleet or snow flurries throughout the day. Feeling bitterly cold with a brisk easterly wind. Snow may be more persistent for parts of eastern Scotland."
