Isaeli forces began the demolition of illgal structures in the West Bank town of Yitzhar occupied by hard-liners and, as expected, met with stiff opposition.
Media reports by the Times of Isael said residents of the hard-line settlement of Yitzhar clashed with Israeli security forces, as several illegal buildings in the West Bank community were demolished before dawn Tuesday.

Before the demolition a vehicle belonging to the Iraeli Defence Forces, parked in the settlement had its tires slashed, in what was believed to have been done by Jewish nationalist extremists.
Two days earlier, on Sunday, tires on a car of the Israel Defense Force’s regional commander were also reportedly punctured.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, condemned the action, along with Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon and other officials, vowing to fight Jewish extremism, the ToI report said.

Security forces pulled down a number of buildings in the early stages of their construction, as well as two mobile homes.
"Hundreds of settlers responded by hurling rocks, setting tires alight, blocking roads, slashing tires of Border Police vehicles and attacking a nearby IDF post" ToI reported, quoting an Israeli army statement.
The protesters also destroyed a portable toilet and a tent being used by the soldiers, while the army responded with crowd dispersion measures.
Following the incidence, a Yitzhar spokesperson said troops fired tear gas at the protesters and that several needed medical attention.

Six Border Police officers were reportedly lightly injured in the clashes.

The clashes prompted eight arrests by the army who caution against attacks on serving personnel.
In a statement they said ”We view seriously the attack on our security forces, who came out to do their work and enforce law and order,”
But attacker also accusing the IDF undeserved “price tag” raids by security forces.
According to reports, Samaria Regional Council Head Gershon Mesika saying “Instead of doing its job and finding those that are guilty, the security apparatus is hurting the innocent, thus strengthening the extremists and weakening the large majority of Yitzhar residents.”
