It may sound weird when we are told to pack it! or to Clean up our mess or to tuck it in. But one resident was shocked when he was told he must keep his own smoke `Smoke' within his own yard.
Not that anyone dislikes the aroma of a good BBQ. But for these dudes, a friendly afternoon was fast turning into a nightmare.
The men said they have lived in their property and cooked there for forty years. For forty years, it was all peaceful and everybody could cook out. Until one lady moved in 3 years ealier. This lady they say even puts a camera in front of her house to film the houses across her own. No one talks.
Then she called a man who claims to be neighborhood official and appears with his file, and tells the young men he saw smoke and even took photos of the smoke escaping the property.
Then he delivered they blow, they have to keep it all within their own property. And an argument ensued.
"People next door cooked out last weekend"
The official said "you didn't complain"
"She didn't complain" was the response.
"C'mon man, even you know that don't sound right"
"How come Police and the Fire Department who have been here tell me to continue" asks the man.
"Because they all follow different rules", said the official.
The Police never been here, the fire department never been here.
The man claim the police and fire department look at different rules and therefore they could not make any pronouncement on that.
The man said "so everybody can cook out and I can't cook out".
They ask him.."what is a BBQ for if we can't smell smoke?"
The officer said he took photos of the smoke as they left the man's property.
BBQ Outlaws who published it on Youtube said "This was a video from a Facebook user who started recording a conversation between him and his friend and a Pinellas County (Florida) environmentalist saying bbq smoke out of your yard is illegal!"
