Good on the screen and popular with Holywood A-List and the masses? Chances are Disney isn't going to pass you by.
And Oscar winner, Lupita Nyong'o is in line to star in Disney Films, seemingly on a continuous basis. The star of 12-Years-A-Slave is currently set to appear on three Disney movies.
Lupita Nyongo'o is certainly one of the exciting news stories to come out of Disney in recent times. She is set to appear in two Disney movies - "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "The Jungle Book" and "The Queen of Katwe".
Last week, J.J Abrams, director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, introduced Lupita Nyong’o as “apparently someone who is legally required to be in every Disney movie” during a live action presentation at the Disney D23 Expo Show.
According to the INQUISITR Walt Disney has set a new bar in terms of diversity and has introduced Nyong’o as its newest star. "Lupita will have quite the heavy duty line-up in upcoming releases" it says.

Those familiar with the yet to be released Star wars says it took a lot of flack for the lack of diversity when they first released a poster showcasing the stars, but after this panel, things look a lot more promising.
For now, Lupita Nyongo’s role in both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Jungle Book will, like David Oyelowo who was appointed by Ian Fleming's Family last week to play James Bond, only feature her voice.
However, "The Queen of Katwe" will see her in a spotlight performance, the Inquistr reported on Sunday.
Vanity Fair highlighted the fact that "The Queen of Katwe" will actually be Lupita Nyong’o first “major spotlight since her Oscar-winning turn in 12 Years a Slave.”

"The Queen of Katwe" becomes a confluence of a sort for Lupita Nyongo'o and David David Oyelowo after giving their voices to Disney and James Bond movies as they will get to be seen and feature on a more prominent roles.
The "The Queen of Katwe" is based on a true story and is directed by Mira Nair. Nyongo will play the role of the young girl’s (Phiona Mutesi) mother.

During her visit to the Disney studios Nyongo'o showed off the posters for the Star Wars: the Force Awakens and The Jungle Book, later sharing the photos on social media with the caption "Double Duty at Disney."

Both will feature in the movie The Jungle Book.
1) Star Wars: The Force Awakens: to be released on December 18, 2015
2) The Jungle Book: to be released on April 15, 2016.
3) The Queen of Katwe: no release date as yet.
The announcements from Disney and Ian Fleming family makes a strong play at changing the terrain of the movie industry in favour of diversity, as it has received as much knocks as the modelling industry for their lop-sided choices.
