BURNT-OUT MOTOR CYCLE AT MALLARD PATH UNDERPASS, SE28 by Benson Agoha

* Carcass of the burnt-out motorbike.

The carcass of a burnt-out motorcycle was lying at the underpass of Mallard Path, on Monday morning - a busy bridge that links overhead traffic fron Woolwich to Royal Arsenal and Thamesmead, SE28.

The back side of the bike was thoroughly burnt, but the front tyre was not. There was no number plate attached and none written on its body.

When our man passed through the area, it looked pretty fresh although there was no live fires or heat. A passerby told our man he reckoned it might have been on Saturday night as it looked pretty fresh.

We could not confirm whether it was an accident or a deliberate act and there was no sign of blood or injuries. But the underpass was badly defaced by thick black smoke.

There was also no way to identify the bridge through through unique codes as seen on some embossed on railbridges in case of emergency.
