CHRISTFAITH TABERNACLE, WOOLWICH, OPENS TO THE PUBLIC AS `NIGERIA PRAYS' by Benson Agoha

The Christfaith Tabernacle, `EBENEZER BUILDING', Woolwich will be formerly opened to the public through an opening Tour scheduled for the 28th-30th of August, 2013. The tour will take place at 2pm daily and it is open to everyone.

CFT's first major public event after the opening tour will be a mass prayer session being convened by former military Head of State of Nigeria, Dr. Yakubu Gowon, through his `NIGERIA PRAYS' initiative.

This month's `NIGERIA PRAYS' is scheduled for Saturday, 31st August, 2013, at 3pm. The organisers call on Nigerians and Nigeria lovers in Great Britain to "let's take responsibility for our nations!" and pray for the two countries. The event's Chairman and host is Apostle A.T.B. Williams (pictured), founder of the Christfaith Tabernacle(CFT).

`NIGERIA PRAYS' is convened by Dr. Gowon from time to time. The latest wave appears to be in response to a recent reported prediction by the United States of America that Nigeria will break-up before 2015. In a recent visit to Osun state in Nigeria, Dr. Gowon reportedly said "I don’t believe that the prediction by America that Nigeria will break before 2015 will happen." However he also prayed further for “...God to uproot bad leaders from Nigeria as a way of moving the country forward from the present situation,”

Nigeria's problems are legion and include high level leadership failings, corruption, poverty, continuing under-development, lack of social infrastructure, terrorist threat and concerted deprivation of Direct Foreign Investment (DFI) by developed countries.

The country's latest terrorism issues include activities of the insurgent group, Boko Haram which has slaughtered civilians, the police and military personnel, as well as causing mass unrest in an attempt to overthrow civil democracy and intall a Muslim state in the Northern part of the country.

The `NIGERIA PRAYS programme is viewed differently by different people - even in Nigeria, where Dr. Yakubu Gowon, who took power after a military coup d'état, was head of state from 1966 to 1975.

Apostle A.T.B. Williams has always been at the forefront of attemps to find solution to the `Nigerian problem'. A favourite quote credited to him says "if there is hope for this nation, there is future for you".

With a disinvestment of more than £3bn from Africa, by the UK in the past two years alone, and most African countries experiencing economic and social difficulties, Nigeria and indeed, the African continent needs these prayers, and more.

The CFT CATHERAL OPENING TOUR takes place between 28th-30th at 2pm daily. It's open to everyone.
