GREENWICH COUNCIL INVITES EMPLOYERS TO A BUSINESS BREAKFAST by Benson Agoha

* Come To Breakfast.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is to promote the Greenwich Apprenticeship Programme through a business breakfast initiative themed ‘Employ an Apprentice’.

An email circular from Mervyn Fernandes of the Directorate for Regeneration, Enterprise and Skills (DRES) invites employers to consider employing and training young talent as apprentices.

The circular asked `Have you thought about taking on an apprentice?' If you have, it says you could join the many employers who are already benefiting from talented young people.

It says that taking on an apprentice could boost the profits of business organisations, increase their productivity and bring fresh thinking to the company.

Details of the event are as follow:

Theme: ‘Employ an Apprentice’ Business Breakfast.

When: Thursday, 10th October, 2013.

Time: 07:30am – 09:30am.

Venue: Devonport House, King William Walk, Greenwich SE10 9JW.

By attending the event, employers will have the "opportunity to gain information about Employing an Apprentice and the many other support packages available to businesses", the circular says.

* Getting an apprentice can be fun.

The Royal Borough stressed that their "dedicated team and partners are on hand to guide" interested parties through the simple process and even manage the recruitment for them.

Places for the event can be booked simply by sending email to the Business Engagement Team at: business@royalgreenwich.gov.uk or by calling Zoe on phone through: 020 8921 8689.
