A car hit and knowcked down a cyclist at the A206, overlooking the MacDonalds Restaurant near Plumstead Bus Garrage.
The incident occured around 6pm yesterday, as the traffic light controlling motorists heading up the bridge overlooking Plumstead Train station changed, creating a short hold-p.
A car approaching from the A2016 Western Way, slowed to traffic just before the junction heading of Nathan Way. Apparently unaware of the approaching cyclist, a front seat passenger oppened his door just as he cyclist approached.
There was immediate impact and the cyclist fell off, landing on the grass.
The car passenger was pissed let off steam with loud mouthed rants on the cyclist but quickly to help him back on his feet.
The well protected cycist got off the ground within minutes, but his bicycle was twisted.
It was not immediately clear what he intended to do or if he would require a hospital visit.
